If You Were God How Would You Create Your Mother?

It is quite interesting how a lot of Christians treat the Mother of Jesus Christ as how people treat an envelope containing an important document or parcel. The envelope is usually trashed away after the content it contains is delivered. Many Christians see Mary as such; she is just an ordinary girl that God chose to use for His purpose, nothing special! Just like an envelope you see? Well, we shall see from the Scriptures whether this is really the case.

TUNA MUNGU MKUBWA WAPENDWA

This is a story about a little girl who, on the way home from church, turned to her mother and said, “Mommy, the Preacher’s sermon this morning confused me.”
The mother said, “Oh! Why is that?
The girl replied, “Well, he said that God is bigger than we are. Is that true?”
“Yes, that’s true,” the mother replied.
“He also said that God lives within us. Is that true too?”
Again the mother replied, “Yes.”
“Well,” said the girl. “If God is bigger than us and He lives in us, wouldn’t He show through?”
Read this again………Think…..

Mungu wetu ni mkubwa hafananishwi na kitu chochote tumtumainie yeye kila wakati na kila saa.
Amen.

GOOD MORNING

LET THEM JUST GROW TOGETHER

Wheat and Weeds – Let Them Just Grow Together

Wheat and weeds parable (Matthew 13:24-30)

Jesus told his disciples another parable, “The kingdom of heaven can be compared to a man who sowed good seed in his field. While everyone was asleep, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat and left. When the plants sprouted and produced grain, the weeds also appeared. Then the servants of the owner came to him and said: ‘Sir, was it not good seed that you sowed in your field? Where did the weeds come from?’. He answered them: ‘This is the work of an enemy’. They asked him: ‘Do you want us to go and pull up the weeds?’. He told them: ‘No, when you pull up the weeds, you might uproot the wheat with them. Let them just grow together until harvest; and at harvest time I will say to the workers: Pull up the weeds first, tie them in bundles and burn them; then gather the wheat into my barn’”.

Reflection:-

Let them just grow together”
Today, we shall ponder over a parable referring to community living, where good and evil, Gospel and sin, constantly get mixed up. Settling this situation as the servant suggests would seem the logical approach: “Do you want us to go and pull up the weeds?” (Mt 13:28). But God’s patience is infinite, and He waits until the very last moment —as a good father would— for the possibility of a change: “Let them just grow together until harvest” (Mt 13:30).
An ambiguous and mediocre reality, perhaps, but that is where God’s Kingdom grows. It has to do with the feeling of being called to discover the signals of the Kingdom of God so we can boost it, while we are trying to avoid whatever conforms us into mediocrity. However, living in that mixture of good and evil should not hinder nor hamper the advance of our spiritual life; for, otherwise, we should be transforming our wheat into weeds. “Sir, was it not good seed that you sowed in your field? Where did the weeds come from?” (Mt 13:27). It is not possible to grow in any other way, nor can we look for the Kingdom anywhere else than simply in this society we are given to live in. Our task will be to make the Kingdom of God grow in it.
The Gospel invites us not to grant any credit to the “pure”, to overcome the existing aspects of puritanism and bigotry of the Christian community. In all collectivities, no matter how healthy they are meant to be, it is easy to find this kind of attitude. Leaning on ideals, we all feel tempted to think we are the lucky ones that have already achieved perfection, while the rest is still far from it. Yet, Jesus proves that all of us, without exception, are still on our way.
Let us, therefore, be on the alert to prevent the devil to sneak up on us, which is what normally happens when we conform ourselves too much to this world. St. Angela of the Cross said, “we are not to listen to the voices of the world saying there are who do this or that; we stick to our own way, without inventing any variations, and always following our way of doing those things, which are like hidden treasures; for they will open the gates of Heaven for us”. Let the Mother of God help us conforming only to love.

MAOMBI KABLA YA KAZI

My Heavenly Father, as I enter this work place,

I speak Your peace, Your grace, Your mercy,
and Your perfect order into this office.
I acknowledge Your power over all that
will be spoken, thought, decided, and done within these walls.
Lord, I thank You for the gifts You have blessed me with.
I commit to using them responsibly in Your honor.
Give me a fresh supply of strength to do my job.
Anoint my projects, ideas, and energy,
so that even my smallest accomplishment
may bring You glory.
Lord, when I am confused, guide me.
When I am weary, energize me. When I am

May the work that I do and the way I do it bring
faith, joy, and a smile to all that I come in

SEVEN DAYS OF CREATION

The Seven Days Of Creation
http://littlewitnesswear.com/images/uploads_shirts/jstory_of_creation_and_IAM_001.jpg
We all realize that God was Creator, but how often do we consider what was involved in that creation? God was a chemist, a physicist, an astronomer, a biologist. God is most certainly an artist, a creator, and a maker of all of our world's beauty.

I'm a double Science Major, Majoring in Biology and Health Sciences. I've always been fascinated with the creation of God's World. God created everything extrinsically phenomenal.
The universe is an absolute masterpiece that can leave the spectator...virtually speechless.
The Bible begins with the creation of the universe:
"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth"
(Genesis 1:1 NIV).

http://s3.hubimg.com/u/269098_f520.jpg

This single verse describes the actual transformation of invisible energy into all of the fundamental physical matter.
(As summed up in Albert Einstein's famous E=mc2 equation).

The universe was beautifully created from pure energy followed by orderly development of stars, galaxies and everything else.
It satisfies both religion and science. Yin and Yang.
Together the picture is complete and harmonious.
Posted below are pictures to illustrate and scriptures to translate the story of "The Seven Days of Creation".

*I found all the pics from various sources on the web*
.

The First Day

The first recorded Words of God that we have are "Let there be light" (Genesis 1:3 NIV). The sun was already shining brightly, but God made the earth's thick new atmosphere allow diffuse light to penetrate to the surface. And so it was that the light was made separate from darkness. The first day of earth's creation was literally the first "day" as someone on earth's surface would experience it - a period of opaque light, and a period of darkness.
(Genesis 1:3-5)

The Second Day

http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4072/5129116692_666b7ddce7.jpg
The separation of the waters. There was yet no liquid water, no oceans. All of the water was in the form of a vapor, a worldwide super-fog, extending a number of kilometers/miles up from the very hot (above the boiling temperature of water) bare-rock earth's surface (the earth's core remains molten right to the present day). God's "hovering over the waters" in verse 2 describes His being above that gaseous-water atmosphere, not a liquid ocean. God then caused most of the water to condense onto the cooling earth which simultaneously formed a whole-planet ocean and cleared the sky.
(Genesis 1:6-8)

Earth The Third Day

The first appearance of dry ground. The further cooling of the surface set in motion a process of natural contraction, uplifting and motion of the crust (the process continues today, called "plate tectonics"). The earth changed from a smooth one-level molten "cue ball" to a planet with an irregular surface with ocean basins and continental landmasses. With dry ground available, the first plants were made to grow in great abundance.
(Genesis 1:9-13)

The Fourth Day

With the sky now clear, the sun, moon and stars were dependably visible. They were to "serve as signs to mark seasons and days and years." The sun marked the day (sunset to sunset), the moon the month (new moon to new moon), and the stars the seasons (constellations are seen in particular seasons e.g. "Orion" is visible in winter in the northern hemisphere, which is summer in the southern hemisphere).
(Genesis 1:14-19)

The Fifth Day

Great numbers of birds and sea creatures. God blessed them and said, "Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the water in the seas, and let the birds increase on the earth."
(Genesis 1:20-23)

The Sixth Day

God made Man. From the man, Woman.
(Genesis 1:24-31)

The Seventh Day

The Sabbath Day. "By the seventh day God had finished the work He had been doing; so on the seventh day He rested from all His work. And God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it He rested from all the work of creating that He had done."
(Genesis 2:2-3)

Comforter

"...And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Comforter that He may remain with you forever..."
- John 14: 16

Do you ever feel overwhelmed? Do feel as though you've been left out in the cold and rain a too many times to count? I think that at one time or another we all feel hopeless and cold.
It helps to know that God will never leave us comfortless. He sent His Holy Spirit to us as our Comforter. God knows all that we’ll face in this world, and knows we cannot possibly do it in our own strength. The Holy Spirit within us empowers us to walk with God in a corrupt and dying world. When there is so much hate around us, He loves us. When there is so much negativity around us, He encourages us. When there are lies all around us He shows us the truth. When there is so much fighting and discord around us, He gives us peace. When we’re in need of God’s love the Holy Spirit will comfort us He is our daily comforter and will be forever!

HII NDIYO NGAO YETU SISI WAKRISTO

WHAT DOES THE BIBLE TELL US ABOUT LOVE?

Some would say:

√ Love is a feeling.

√ Love is passion.

√ Love is commitment.

√ Love is caring and sharing.

We don't have to guess what love is. God has provided us with many bible verses in His word on this important subject. The fact is it really doesn't matter what we think love is.

What matters is...
What is God's definition?
(He knew we all needed clarification.)
God not only does love us, but the Bible says God is love.
Scripture thankfully define it for us

UPENDO WA MUNGU NI KAMA MAMA NA MWANA

READ THIS

LEAVING THE NETS BEHIND AND LEAPING INTO DARKNESS

It is not that easy to lead a life filled with faith from a world’s point of view.
We know that Peter gave up his fishing net and all his tools, and followed Jesus. Peter has nothing in his hands. He is vulnerable. He believed that Jesus would make him a fisher of men. He left his net, and with out thinking, followed this Master. He saw the truth, and the call of the truth was greater than his profession. In one deciding moment, which will make all the difference for eternity, he left everything and followed Jesus. Now he is in the middle of the road. He can not go back.
His buddies in the fishing profession would have thought that Peter was weird, when he left a lucrative job for an unknown prophet. He would have put financial strains on his family in his pursuit for the kingdom of Jesus. Peter would have thought that, Jesus the son of David would establish the kingdom of David. He might have envisioned Jesus sitting on the throne of David, after defeating the Romans.
Peter doesn’t see any of these things happening. In fact, Jesus is talking about giving his flesh and blood to people, so that they may eat and drink it. Peter doesn’t understand. It is too much for him to comprehend. Many of his disciple friends decide to leave Jesus. It is too much for them to take. He doesn’t know where he is going. He is stuck in the middle of this road, and the above verse captures this moment. Peter is gambling with his life. It is like doing acrobatics with out a net.
Peter represents the “white martyrs” of today. They are considered weird by the religious people. People think that they are out of their mind. They are ridiculed by their friends and families. Respectable Christians keep away from them. Secret disciples come to see them in the cover of darkness. They bear the hidden stigma of Christ. These stigmatics do not bleed outside, but are bleeding inside. They have no body to show the way.
They are unique and therefore have to craft their own roads to reach their destiny. They cannot go back as they have already gone too far in this road with Jesus. They search for the truth, but they are denied entrance in the city of light where “good Christians’ live. They, therefore retract into that city called “the dark night of the soul”. They are strangers in every city and they are optional extras in family gatherings. The prize is often paid by their spouses and children for no fault of theirs. They are dependent on Christ for everything as if they have no will of their own.
Many get blessed because of them, but they are wanderers in this world. The battles they face are enormous, and they face it only because they thought Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. They are not diplomats. They say what they mean, and mean what they say. Truth is so transparent in their presence, that people avoid them.
They cry in the middle of the night and ask Jesus-“have you left us?” Finally they come to the revelation which Peter had two thousand years ago – “to whom can we go; you have the words of eternal life”. They live in this world, in the hope securing a room in the father’s mansion in heaven.
